Brooklyn Bridge Park has announced its free summer program 2016. We have listed the highlights for children:
Roller skating @ Pier 2: Reopened Friday April 15th. Free admission on Mondays and Fridays 3 to 6 pm, as well as Sundays 10 am to 12 pm. Details here.
Basketball Clinics @ Pier 2: Thursdays at 5 pm and Sundays at 12 pm from May 5 to August 28. Recommended for ages 8 to 17.
Kayaking @ Pier 2: Saturdays from 10 am – 3 pm & Thursdays from 5:30 pm – 6:45 pm from June to August, starting June 4th. Children under 18 must have an adult present.
Kayak Polo @ Pier 2: Sundays from 11 am to 12 pm from June 5th to September 25th. Level of exerience doesn’t matter. More info here!
Summer Reading Storytime @ Pier 3 Granite Terrace: Brooklyn Heights children’s librarians reading for children of all ages. Tuesdays from 10.30 to 11.30 am from June 7th to August 30th. More info here!
Family Field Day @ Pier 2: Games and races, guarantee fun for the whole family on Saturday June 18 from 10 am to 2 pm. More info here!
Pier Kids @ Pier 6: Family-friendly activities with the Uni Project and Private Picassos on Sundays June 19, July 3, July 10, July 24, July 31 and August 7 from 11 am to 1 pm.
Checkmate 101 @ Pier 6: Come learn how to take your chess game to the next level! Best for beginners. Saturdays at 10 am from June 19 to August 7.
Metropolitan Opera @ Pier 1: A favorite summer tradition for the whole family on Friday June 24 at 7 pm.
Youth Volleyball Clinic @ Pier 6: Each Sunday from July 3 to July 31 at 10 am. Recommended for ages 4 to 10. More info here!
Hindu Lamp Ceremony @ Pebble Beach: Saturday August 6 from 4 to 8 pm.
Family Field Day @ Pier 5: Saturday August 20 from 10 am to 2 pm.
