The Gelsey Kirkman Academy of classical ballet which recently moved into the old St. Ann’s Warehouse space on Jay Street is offering free trial ballet classes for children 3 to 11 years old on August 26 and 27, both days at 10.30 am and 4.30 pm.
All the time slots still have space available and while they request that people RSVP, they won’t turn away walk-ins.
Young children (3-5) can come to any of the classes (26th & 27th at 10:30 am or 4:30 pm).
Older students (6-11) are encouraged to come to the afternoon classes at 4:40 pm because they will have a separate teacher with a more age appropriate class planned for them.
No leotard and tights required, just clothes that are comfortable to move in.
