Greene Hill School: Learning Beyond the Classroom Walls (sponsored)

Greene Hill is fortunate to have many resources right in its own backyard ripe for exploration and experienced as a means to learn more about the people and places outside of school, New York City history, and current issues and topics in the wider world. This month, middle schoolers at Greene Hill School will venture out to a variety of cultural institutions in NYC. Sixth graders will go to the Morgan Library to learn about Colors of the World: Illuminated Manuscripts in the Age of Exploration. This trip is in conjunction with their study of Medieval West Africa and the Islamic Empire. Seventh graders will take the NYC ferry to go to the South Street Seaport Museum where they will attend a walking tour about Revolutionary NY and 8th graders will go to the Museum of the City of New York to view the Activist NY exhibit for their Activism Class. The school offering Pre-K through 8th Grade is located in Fort Greene.
