Impressions from The Longest Table in Brooklyn Heights 5/17

On Saturday, May 17, over 400 Brooklyn Heights neighbors came together to share a potluck meal at one long communal table stretching down a car-free Remsen Street—from Hicks Street all the way to the Promenade. The gathering was organized by the Brooklyn Heights Association (BHA) and sponsored by City Point Brooklyn. Inspired by Paris’s Table d’Aude, a beloved neighborhood tradition, and Chelsea’s Longest Table, the event was free, family-friendly, and open to everyone. Guests brought their own food and drinks, enjoying the afternoon alongside friends, family, coworkers, and new neighbors. It was a vibrant celebration of community and connection in the heart of Brooklyn Heights!
