Brooklyn Prospect Charter School’s second middle school, Brooklyn Prospect Charter School – Clinton Hill Middle School – will open in Community School District 13 in the fall 2016. Modeled after their Windsor Terrace Middle School, the Clinton Hill Middle will open to approximately 100 sixth graders and will be temporarily co-located at 300 Willoughby Avenue. This co-location at 300 Willoughby Avenue will last two years – after which a new, permanent, now under construction at 1100 Fulton Street, Brooklyn, is expected to be ready for use. That permanent home on Fulton Street will be a brand new, custom-built, 32,000 sq. ft. middle school building and will include a large commons (cafeteria), outdoor playspace, gymnasium, and library. In addition to housing traditional classrooms, the building will also feature music and art studios, science laboratory, and specialized reading rooms.
BPCS Clinton Hill Middle school will grow a grade each year, to serve approximately 300 6-8th graders at full capacity. Once a student is admitted to Brooklyn Prospect Charter School, students may continue through their high school program without reapplying. The high school is located in the Windsor Terrace neighborhood of Brooklyn.
Brooklyn Prospect Charter School offers the International Baccalaureate diploma. Prospective families must create an account and complete the online application by April 1. Admission is by lottery. A closer look inside their elementary school in Downtown Brooklyn here!
