The Department of Education and School Construction Authority have shared the opening of various new 3K & Pre-K centers as well as elementary schools for District 15 and District 13.
The new Laurie A. Cumbo Children’s Enrichment Center is now open on Myrtle Avenue and accepting new enrollments. Families can now sign-up for this remaining school year, the summer, and the upcoming 2022-2023 school year. The Center, operated by Brooklyn Community Services, is accepting applications for 3-K and Pre-K children for the remainder of this school year, summer programming, and the next school year starting in September. Children are eligible for the rest of this school year and this summer if they were born in 2017 or 2018. Children born in 2018 and 2019 are eligible to enroll for September.

The expansion of the tuition-free 3K for All program in District 13 and 15 is in full flow. The Department of Education is growing the program with the plan to offer a seat for every 3 year old. Various privately run preschools and daycares will offer 3K for All starting in September 2022. Official applications are closed but you can still add your child born in 2019 to the waitlists.
