The Pop-up pool between Pier 1 and 2 in Brooklyn Bridge Park will be closing after the summer of 2016. At that point, the pool will have brought free swimming and low cost swimming lessons to the community for 5 years. The pool was always intended to be there temporarily and the space will be used to expand parkland.
Elected officials have requested to evaluate funding for a permanent pool in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Stay tuned!
