Space Club, the sensory play space in Greenpoint, has opened their second location in Fort Greene at 143 Waverly Avenue. The four-level, 36,000 square-foot space includes both a rooftop and an outdoor deck. Both Space Club locations are open 365 days a year, 8am-7pm daily.
There are no age limits at Space Club; all ages, 0 and up, are welcome! The facility includes a huge array of sensory play areas. There are jungle gyms, huge ball pits with swings and rings hanging overhead, a studio for arts and crafts, a LEGO pit, a bead pit, a huge floor piano, and even a glow-in-the-dark room.
Drop-in visits are $35 for a 2-hour pass, which includes one child and one accompanying adult. Booking online in advance is recommended for weekends and holidays, and a limited number of walk-ins are also accepted. No bookings are required for weekdays, families can just drop in.
The Fort Greene club is currently accepting new members. Membership is $249/month, plus a $500 joining fee. Additional siblings are $99/month. Space Club also offers a 10% discount if you pay for a year upfront. Interested families can inquire at [email protected]. Membership includes free weekday classes, free movie nights, free after school care, 2 accompanying adults per entry, and more. All events, parties, and classes will kick off in January at the Fort Greene location.
Starting in January, Fort Greene Space Club members can book a class every week at no additional cost, with a choice of Playdoh, music, art, or dance.
Members can also participate in the after school program from 2:30-5:30pm for an additional $100/month. The program is for Pre-K through 6th Grade, and includes pick-up from select schools, a snack, time for homework, open play, and an activity such as art, being, music, LEGOs, or puzzles.
Booking is now open for birthday parties at the Fort Greene location, which can be scheduled starting January 1, 2025. Parties are scheduled Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 9:00-11:30am, 12:30-3:00pm, and 4:00-6:30pm. The cost is $990, and includes 15 kids and 15 adults ($35/additional child, $5/additional adult). Booking includes the private use of one of the 3 party rooms, with 2.5 house of play. No food or drink included.
While the Greenpoint Space Club is an all-indoor playground, the new Fort Greene location has rooftop and outdoor spaces that will outfitted with giant sand pits, raised garden beds with herbs and vegetables, and a bounce mountain. Stay tuned for more details as the warmer months approach!
