The Department of Education has sent out 2016 Kindergarten offer letters on March 15th. Parents will have to register their kids by April 8th. Here is the overview for our local schools:
PS 8: 150 Kindergarten spots were offered to in-zone children (Brooklyn Heights and Concrete Village) and kids from DUMBO with older siblings at PS 8. No zoned wait list.
PS 307: 66 seats were offered to in-zone children born in 2011 (Farragut Houses, Vinegar Hill and DUMBO). Additionally, as a Magnet school, PS 307 has been attracting out-of-zone students and will continue to do so moving forward. No zoned wait list. Stay tuned for more open houses!
PS 29: No zoned wait list.
PS 261: No zoned wait list.
PS 287: No zoned wait list.
PS 58: Zoned wait list smaller than 10.
