In September 2015, Brooklyn Historical Society hosted a lively discussion about New York State’s segregated schools epidemic with a panel of esteemed experts, academics, and advocates. But what’s really happening on the ground? BHS is hosting a similar discussion, moderated by acclaimed journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones, with Jill Bloomberg, Principal of Park Slope Collegiate; Takiema Bunche-Smith, a PS 146 parent; Michelle Baptiste, a PS 261 teacher and parent; a to-be-named representative of the D15 Parents for Middle School Equity; and Faraji Hannah-Jones, PS 307 parent and PTA president in District 13.
The event will take place on Tuesday, March 8, 6:30 pm. $10/$5 for BHS and G-W Members. Reserve your spot here!
