$120 food benefits for students coming and farmers market usage

New York City public school families, regardless of income, will receive a new allotment of food benefits of at least $120 per child known as the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer, or P-EBT. K to 12 students who were enrolled in public schools this past school year are eligible for the summer food benefits and those in charter, private, and other schools, or pre-K, who received free meals through the federal school lunch program are eligible. Benefits are being uploaded to the card for each student. The benefits must be issued by Dec. 31, 2023.

All farmers markets in NYC accept SNAP-EBT benefits. Visit the farmers market information tent to spend $2 in SNAP / EBT / P-EBT, get bonus $2 “health buck”, up to $10 per visit. Swipe your card for $10 and get $20 to spend at the market.
