Brooklyn Grange CSA at the Navy Yard
Brooklyn Grange Farm in the Navy Yard offers a weekly share of vegetables and several add-on options. Add-ons include a weekly share of eggs, bread, microgreens, and/or flowers at select farms. Pick up is Tuesdays from 3 to 7 pm from May 25th to October 19th at Brooklyn Navy Yard. In addition to a weekly share of vegetables, they are offering several add-on options! Add-ons include a weekly share of eggs, bread, microgreens, and/or flowers at select farms (add-ons will vary from to farm). This year they introduce a new share model: the sliding scale program. This model ensures more people can access local, organically grown produce. The model starting at $15 per week invites you to choose your price point based on your income and access to wealth, practicing economic solidarity with your community.
Brooklyn Bridge CSA in Brooklyn Heights
Registration for the 2021 season is open for the Brooklyn Bridge CSA in Brooklyn Heights. CSA members receive vegetable shares from June 9 through November 17 in either weekly or biweekly pickups. Members can also choose to add a prepared foods share, fruit, or cheese shares. A typical vegetable share includes 8-10 items per week. The Brooklyn Bridge CSA is a volunteer based organization, this means all members sign up for to work two 2 hour shifts at distribution throughout the season. The reduced price for a full vegetable share starts at $720 for 24 weeks. Pick up Wednesdays from 5pm-8pm at First Presbyterian Church, 124 Henry Street.
Brooklyn Heights Sweat Pea CSA
Signups are open for the 2021 season, which runs from June 12 through November 17. Members receive organic locally grown produce from Garden of Eve Farm on the North Fork of Long Island. Fruit, cheese, meat, flowers and more are also available. Pickups are Saturdays from 8.30 am to 9.30 am at First Unitarian Church at 50 Monroe Place. Weekly shares with 7 to 9 vegetable and herb items start at $30 The CSA is volunteer-based; they typically ask that members sign up for one shift per season. More information can be found here.
DUMBO Vinegar Hill CSA
You can now sign-up for this year’s 24 week CSA season from June 9 to November 17 with weekly vegetables, fruit, cheese, and ready to eat products. A full share for 24 weeks costs $785 with around 8 to 10 different vegetables per week. Each member is required to staff two pickup shifts per season. Pick-up is Wednesdays from 5 to 7.30 pm, location Randolph Beer in Dumbo Heights. Find out more here.
Carroll Gardens Garden of Eve CSA
Signups are open for the 2021 season, which runs from June 12 through November 17. Members receive organic locally grown produce from Garden of Eve Farm on the North Fork of Long Island. Fruit, cheese, meat, flowers and more are also available and weekly shares with 7 to 9 vegetable and herb items per week start at $30. Pickups are Saturdays from 10 am to 12 pm at the Transit Garden, right outside the Carroll Street F/G stop.
