The Macy’s 4th of July fireworks will be a 25-minute-long display starting at around 9:25 pm and use more than 60,000-shells launched from five barges stationed on the East River centered around Midtown Manhattan. Some of this year’s showpieces include a mile-wide waving flag with red, white & blue palm & strobing shells, a sunflower ring with crackling pistil shells, red stop-sign shaped effects, and new Ghost pyro that features four different alternating hues. The following locations are not recommended for viewing: Brooklyn Bridge Park, Brooklyn Heights Promenade, Brooklyn Grand Ferry Park and Domino Park in Williamsburg. Official viewing points in Brooklyn are Marscha P. Johnson State Park, Transmitter Park and Newton Barge Park. All details where to watch the fireworks in NYC here.
