NYU Langone medical center spanning 5 clinical floors across 165,000 square feet at 70 Atlantic Avenue and replacing the interim ED at 83 Amity Street is opening on April 3. The physician practice includes 19 medical and surgical specialties throughout the new building, which also offers an infusion center and radiology and imaging services at the site of the former Long Island College Hospital. The center will also house ambulatory surgery; an off-campus emergency department (ED), which will be the new home for the NYU Langone Health—Cobble Hill ED currently located at 83 Amity Street; NCI-designated cancer care through the Laura and Isaac Perlmutter Cancer Center; and doctor’s offices for a wide range of primary care and clinical specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, OB/GYN, orthopedics, radiology, multiple sclerosis, and more.
As of April 3, Dr. Gilgoff beloved Brooklyn pediatrician will serve as the pediatric medical director at NYU Langone Cobble Hill. Dr. Messinger from Mount Sinai Brooklyn Heights will be joining the facility as well. Find out more here.
