Located in the heart of the Brooklyn Cultural District, The Mark Morris Dance Center is the home of the world-renowned Mark Morris Dance Group. Its diverse and professional faculty provides progressive and inclusive instruction, operating on the philosophy that “Dance is for Anybody.” Their classes also feature live music, creating an engaging learning experience that helps students develop musicality and creativity.
The School offers programs for little ones, including We Dance: Postpartum (newborn to new crawlers), We Dance: Toddler and Grown-up Movement (ages 18 months to 4 years) and Creative Dance (ages 4-6). Both We Dance classes are for children and their caregiver.
Children (ages 6-18) can take Hip-Hop, Ballet, Modern, Broadway Jazz, and Tap, as well as Music and Singing. Students may select to study just one style or as many as they want. The most committed dancers can also choose to join one of the Student Companies.
