Applications for free 3K for All and Universal Pre-K are open

Applications are now open for 3K for All and UPK, it is not a first come first serve process. All NYC children born in 2019 can apply for 3K for All by the April 14, 2022 deadline. 3-K results will be available in June. All NYC children born in 2018 can apply for UPK by the March 18, 2022 deadline. All families who apply to UPK by the deadline will receive an offer in May. Apply online at MySchools.nyc. Public Pre-K and 3K programs are 6 hours 20 minutes long and follow the NYC Department of Education school calendar. Kids do not need to be potty-trained for the 3’s program and all students in 3K and UPK programs take naps after lunch. Find out more about the new 3K for All program here.

Use MySchools to search for and learn about 3K and UPK programs, new programs have been added. Admissions is not first come, first served, and you can make changes to your application any time before the deadlines above. Priority for the programs in 3K is similar to Pre-K (4s programs priorities) with children currently enrolled in a center or a sibling at the center/school having priority. Find out more here.
