Spring Fling on car-free Montague Street on Sunday 5/18

Join Brooklyn Bridge Parents and Mommy Poppins for our first ever Spring Fling during Open Streets on Montague on Sunday, May 18 from 12 to 4 pm with 20+ free kids activities, bike track, dance party and puppet show. We will have games, arts & crafts, soccer, face painting, building activities and obstacle course, much more. RSVP here.

The PuppetMobile will feature Astrid Lindgren’s Pippi Longstocking at 1 pm, presented in tandem with the 80th anniversary of the beloved book and in association with the Astrid Lindgren Foundation. Kids and families will experience the incredible adventures of quick-witted and super-strong Pippi as she overcomes bullies and burglars, all while fending off social conventions that seek to keep her in check.

Explore the full range of Woom bikes—lightweight, smart, safe, and easy to ride. Try out balance and pedal models for kids ages 18 months to 14 years, all available to demo on-site on a dedicated test track!

BrickByBrick — a Happiness Project will be collecting previously loved LEGOS and redistributing them to underserved children at various community partners throughout Brooklyn. We would love your kids to come help us put fun LEGO kits together to spread smiles to children in need!

Enjoy car free blocks on Montague Street from Clinton – Henry & Henry – Hicks. Best for ages 0 – 12. Open Streets on Montague is a project of the Montague Street Business Improvement District in collaboration with the Brooklyn Heights Association and the New York City Department of Transportation. Come out to play, make friends and laugh! (rain or shine)
