Brooklyn public schools go back on Thursday, September 10, 2026, and Labor Day falls on Monday, September 7. That leaves a full camp week from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4, and two loose days on Tuesday, September 8 and Wednesday, September 9.
These are the camps from our Summer Camp Guide 2026 that are still running in that window. Dates, hours and prices below were checked against each camp’s own registration page. Several are in their final week of the season, and a few are already full, so book before you plan around them.
Monday, August 31 – Friday, September 4
Brooklyn Music Factory | Gowanus & Carroll Gardens
August 31–September 4 | 9am–3pm | 495 Carroll St, Gowanus and 94 Luquer St, Carroll Gardens | $865/week | Ages 4–11, CITs 12–14
Week nine is the last songwriting week of the season. Campers are placed in bands of no more than six, write original songs all week and play them at Friday’s gig, which is livestreamed for families. Early drop-off 8–9am is $69 a week and late pickup 3–6pm is $218 a week. Register here.
Chelsea Piers Brooklyn | Prospect Heights
August 31–September 4 | 8:30am–3:30pm full day, 8:30am–2pm preschool | 601 Dean Street | $950/week full day, $710 preschool | Ages 3–14
The twelfth and final week of a summer that started June 15. Choose multi-sport Camp Chelsea, gymnastics, ninja and parkour, or soccer. Full-day campers get lunch and at least three swim periods a week, and a daily 30-minute swim lesson can be added. Register here.
MakeInspires | Carroll Gardens

Robotics, stop-motion, rocketry, 3D printing and game design, in groups of no more than seven. The final week’s optional expert add-on is Roblox Developer for ages 8–14, an extra $100. Catered lunch is $50 a week. Register here.
SKATEYOGI | Williamsburg & Prospect Lefferts Gardens
August 31–September 4 | 8:30am–3pm, late pickup to 5:30pm | 58 N 9th Street, Williamsburg and 140 Empire Blvd, Prospect Lefferts Gardens | Grades K–9
The last week of a season that opened June 15. All levels welcome and rental gear is included. The Little Kids Mini Camp for grades K–2 runs Monday to Thursday, 8:30am–12:45pm. Penguin Coding School | Cobble Hill & Park Slope
August 31–September 4 | 9am–3pm, early and extended day available | 156 Smith Street, Cobble Hill and 424 7th Avenue, Park Slope | listed at $995/week | Ages 6–18
Any week can be booked on its own through September 4. Minecraft for ages 6–9, MakeCode game development for 7–11, Python for 9–12, and a counsellor-in-training track for teens. Lego robotics, hands-on science and 3D printing run through every week. Register here.
Brooklyn Robot Foundry | Industry City
August 31–September 4 | 9am–4pm, extended stay to 5pm | Industry City, Sunset Park | Rising K–5th grade
Campers build and take home a different robot every day. Industry City is the only Brooklyn location whose published schedule runs through September 4 — the Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope rows say only “Summer 2026”, so check the dates for those before you book. Brooklyn Dance Conservatory | Park Slope/Gowanus
August 31–September 3 | 9am–3pm | 497 Carroll Street | $675/week | Ages 5–11
A four-day final week, not five: the studio’s own calendar ends this session on Thursday, September 3. Ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop and tap, with an in-studio performance for families at the end. The half-day option for younger dancers is not offered this week. Register here.
ABCirque Kids’ Circus Intensive | Crown Heights

Silks, trapeze, stilt walking, tight wire, Spanish web and clowning, taught by the ABCirque professional troupe and ending in a show the students direct themselves. Worth knowing before you get your hopes up: this week is sold out and the wait-list is open. Join the wait-list.

Week twelve at the adventure playground, where campers build with real tools, dig, climb and run the day themselves. The catch for Brooklyn families is the commute: drop-off and pickup are at the Citi Bike station in Lower Manhattan, not in Brooklyn. Fees are tiered by household income, with scholarships for SNAP recipients, and aftercare runs to 5pm for an extra charge. Register here.
Brooklyn Stitch Studio | Carroll Gardens
Week of August 31, plus September 8 and 9 | 9am–3pm, aftercare to 5:30pm | 114 2nd Place | listed at $750/week | Rising 1st–4th grade
A week of sewing projects on the machine, with arts and crafts and the backyard sprinkler in between. No experience needed. The studio also lists September 8 and 9 as a separate two-day session; the rate for those two days is set at registration. Register here.
Dance in Prospect Park | Park Slope
August 31–September 4, plus September 8 and 9 | 10am–3pm | Prospect Park by the Picnic House | $550/week or $125/day | Ages 3 and up
An outdoor camp that mixes dance and yoga with crafts, games and storytime. Drop-off and pickup are at the Picnic House. Early drop-off at 9am and late pickup at 4pm each add $100 a week; 5pm pickup adds $200. Registration is open and all sales are final. Register here.
Tuesday, September 8 and Wednesday, September 9
Almost everything closes after September 4. Two camps on this list cover the last two weekdays before school: Brooklyn Stitch Studio in Carroll Gardens, which lists September 8 and 9 as its own session, and Dance in Prospect Park, which runs both days at $125 a day. MakeInspires’ published season also extends to September 9, so it is worth asking Carroll Gardens directly whether those two days are staffed.
Two things to check before you book
Camps in the last week of the season fill fast and some close early if numbers are low, so confirm your week is running before you arrange anything around it. And check your own school’s calendar — private and charter schools do not all start on September 10.
