Brooklyn Preschool of Science celebrated the end of the school year with two exciting educational events for kids and parents (sponsored)

On May 25, students saluted the books they love by dressing up as their favorite character and marching around their school during the school’s annual Character Day Parade. For this year’s parade, children from 2 to 5 years old studied books and authors including the If You Give A… Books by Laura Numeroff; the How to Catch a ___ Series by Adam Wallace; Pete the Cat by James Dean, and books by Eric Carle and Mo Willems.

From May 30 through June 2, the three locations of the school were treated to concerts by the Bilingual Birdies, teaching musicians who used guitars and percussion instruments to introduce basic English and Spanish vocabulary through song, dance, and puppetry. As BPOS Executive/Educational Director Carmelo Piazza said, “Bilingual Birdies is so much more than learning another language. They strive to encourage cross-cultural awareness, compassion, and curiosity. Singing and dancing with them was a beautiful and festive way to end our school year!”

Brooklyn Preschool of Science has select openings for Fall 2022. Take a virtual tour of the preschool program for 2 to 4 year olds in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope. Contact the director to schedule a tour here.
