Streeteasy has published its annual report of the most expensive neighborhoods in NYC with categories like highest median asking rent and price, rental inventory and sales inventory.
Brooklyn’s neighborhood with the highest median asking rent and the only one making it into New York’s top 10 was DUMBO ranked #4 with a median rent of $5,750. DUMBO also had the highest year-over-year rental inventory growth in NYC with +82% in 2024.
Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, DUMBO and Park Slope had the highest median asking prices in 2024 making the top 10 priciest neighborhoods a 50/50 split between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Greenpoint had the highest year-over-year sales inventory growth in Brooklyn with +17% in 2024.
