Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month (LGBT Pride Month) is celebrated annually in June to honor the 1969 Stonewall riots, and works to achieve equal justice and equal opportunity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) Americans. LGBTQ Teen Club: Pride | Sunset Park Library | Tuesday 6/6

Calling all LGBTQ+ teens and young adults: come hang out, meet new people, and be yourself! We will be doing Pride Month Trivia with prizes for winners and button making. Brush up on your LGBTQ+ history and pop culture! Sunset Park Library 4201 Fourth Avenue on Tuesday, June 6th, 4-5pm.

Share Your Pride | Brooklyn Children’s Museum | Thursday 6/8

Drop in to create a rainbow crown to commemorate the start of LGBTQ+ Pride month! Contribute to our collaborative mural about what Pride means to you, and learn about how your family can march with BCM at this year’s Brooklyn Pride Parade on Saturday, June 10. Teen Thursdays @ Adams Street Library DUMBO | Thursday 6/8

On Thursday, June 8th Adams Street Library will kick off LGBTQ+ Pride Month with music and art in the multipurpose room. Learn how to use the library’s button maker to design and press your own 1.5 inch pin-back buttons to show your pride! All supplies will be provided. Thursday, June 8th, 3-4pm Teens and Tweens.

In This Town, We Show Pride: LQBTQ+ Teen Night | Brooklyn Museum | Friday 6/9

Join the Brooklyn Museum for their tenth annual LGBTQ+ Teen Night, featuring a range of art-making, performances, and other activities celebrating queer art and activism! Brooklyn Museum, Friday, June 9th, 5-7:30pm for ages 14+. Registration is encouraged.

Brooklyn Pride Festival | Park Slope | Saturday 6/10

Come on down to Park Slope’s 5th Avenue to enjoy a cross-section of the borough’s business, community, and city-wide organizations. In addition to the vendors, there will be a fabulous entertainment stage at 4th Street displaying local, national, and international talent! Furthermore, at Old Stone House / J.J. Byrne Park, 5th Ave. between 3rd & 4th Streets, we will have our Family Fun Zone that features family activities, music, face painting, arts & crafts, story-time, and more! BKCM Pride Celebration | Park Slope | Saturday 6/10

The Brooklyn Conservatory of Music (BKCM) and the Center for Fiction will be sharing a musical presentation of Julián is A Mermaid by Jessica Love. The author will be joining for a special reading of her book. The Old Stone House on Saturday, June 10th, 11am.

LGBTQ+ 5K Run/ Walk | Prospect Park | Saturday 6/10

What better way to start off your Brooklyn Pride Saturday than with a morning 5K (3.1 mile) LGBTQIA+ fun run? You’ll be joined by hundreds of runners from across NYC and beyond as you race through scenic and historic Prospect Park. Saturday, June 10th, 10am-12pm. Register here.

Youth Pride | Park Slope | Saturday 6/17

Come join LGBTQIA+ youth from all over Brooklyn for a Pride day exclusively made for you and your allies. Event runs from 12:00pm – 5:00pm with free food, craft table, airbrush artist, DJ and more. Showcase your artistic talent and decorate your OLD sneakers with your best Pride ideas that are focused on our 2023 Theme – “TOGETHER WE WILL”. 4th Street next to JJ Byrne Playground, Saturday, June 17th, 12-5pm.

Drag Queen Story Hour | Clinton Hill Library | Thursday 6/22

Drag Queen Story Hour is just what it sounds like—  drag queens reading stories to children. Through storytelling and creativity, DQSH provides a range of fun and fabulous educational experiences, teaching children about gender diversity and all forms of difference to build empathy and give kids the confidence to express themselves however they feel comfortable. Family Pride Fest | Albee Square & City Point | Saturday 6/24

Join City Point, Master of Ceremonies Lola Star, and Dreamland Productions for an afternoon Family PRIDE celebration!  It all starts with a Family Pride Parade, and will continue through the afternoon with Anna Copa Cabanna, Band Fogu Azul, the Brazilian Marching Band, Happy Dance Party, sparkle stations, and more! All ages are welcome to this FREE joyful, rainbow-colored event! Saturday, June 24th, 11 am to 2 pm at City Point and Albee Square in Downtown Brooklyn.

Pride Family Day at the Museum of Modern Art | Manhattan | Saturday 6/24

Celebrate Pride Month as a family! Explore art and learn about queer contemporary artists, participate in drop-in art-making activities, and listen to book readings focusing on LGBTQIA+ history. Choose the activities that interest your family and move at your own pace. Activity prompts are available in English and Spanish. Recommended for kids ages six and up. Free with advance registration. Brooklyn Americana Music Festival | Brooklyn Bridge Park | Saturday 6/24

The 9th Annual Brooklyn Americana Music Festival (BKAMF) returns to Brooklyn Bridge Park in celebration of NYC Pride Saturday June 24th, 2023. Pier 6 live music events feature LGBTQ artists; a bluegrass jam session, a buskers stage, and a ‘make your own rainbow flag’ art parade. Refreshments available. Bring a picnic blanket! Pride Weekend at the New York Aquarium | Coney Island | June 3 & 4

WCS is proud to celebrate and support the LGBTQIA+ community with a weekend of activities at the New York Aquarium. Pride Night with the Brooklyn Cyclones | Coney Island | Thursday 6/8

The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a special Brooklyn Pride Jersey!
