Free Earth Day celebrations will take place in Brooklyn Bridge Park, Prospect Park and Downtown Brooklyn this year on Saturday 4/23.

Earth Day Celebration | DUMBO | 4/23

The Environmental Education Center in Brooklyn Bridge Park will host a free Earth Day celebration at the Main Street terrace with activities around nature and science. Free event on Saturday, 4/23 from 11 am to 2 pm, best for children 2 to 8 years old. Find out more here.

Earth Day Celebration | Hanover Place | 4/23

PS Family NYC is celebrating their new office in Downtown Brooklyn with a Grand Opening & Earth Day Celebration filled with family activities and free workshops on Saturday April 23rd from 10am to 4pm! In celebration of Earth Day, PS Family is hosting free workshops for the community on immigration and Opening or Expanding a Childcare Business, and a live performance of Pistachio, a play about composing. New or gently used books, provided by the Brooklyn Book Bodega, will be given to children attending the event and there will be a Jellycat plushie and Kaplan gift certificate raffle!

BAMKids Spring Festival | Downtown Brooklyn | 4/23

This family-friendly festival is a jam-packed day of outdoor and indoor performances, interactive activities, and showcases of local talent! BAMkids SpringFest embraces the spirit of the season with a program of springtime ragas from Indian classical musicians, circus performances, concerts, hands-on activities, and so much more. Join us for a celebration of community, creativity, and our precious planet! The free event will take place at the Plaza at 300 Ashland on April 23 from 10 am to 4 pm for ages 3 to 11. Car-free Earth Day event | Downtown Brooklyn | 4/23

Join us for an exciting and earth-friendly activation on the plaza at Albee Square. Albee Square West will also be closed to traffic all day, so bring your bike, your roller skates, and your beach chairs and enjoy a car-free street! The free event will take place on Saturday, April 23 from 12 to 3 pm. Find out more here.

B’Earthday Bash | Prospect Park Audubon Center | 4/23

Celebrate with activities for all ages that celebrate the historic and environmental importance of Prospect Park, Brooklyn’s slice of nature and home to a thriving ecosystem of hundreds of species of plants and animals, 30,000 trees, Brooklyn’s only lake and last remaining forest. Free RSVP here.
