We have partnered up with Life Time in Dumbo to bring two free family fitness Sundays to the community! Parents will be able drop off their kids in the Life Time Kids Academy for ages 3 months to 11 years for up to two hours. Then, they will be able to enjoy up to two hours on the basketball court, fitness floor and in the lap pool as well as the whirlpools, saunas, and eucalyptus steam room. There will also be group fitness classes to choose from ranging from strength/HIIT to yoga. Grown-ups can also just enjoy the café, answer emails in the lounge, etc.
Activities for children in the Kids Academy will include sports and dance classes, in addition to interactive games in the free play area. Air Hockey will be available for the older kids. Toddlers can enjoy a variety of interactive programming including story time, music, and bubble play.
The Family Fitness Afternoons will take place on Sunday, April 23 and Sunday, May 7 from 12 pm to 2 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm. Please note when signing up that you can only RSVP for one of the four time slots, you can bring maximum of two kids per family to the Kids Academy for this specific free event. Children need to be dropped off in the kids academy and cannot join adults in the fitness area. Kids will be grouped by ages in the kids academy which means siblings might or might not be in one group together. The 3-story, 77,000-square-foot health club within the Front & York development is open Monday through Friday, 5am to 11pm and Saturday and Sunday, 7am to 10pm. Monthly memberships for grown ups are $259. The monthly membership for one adult and one child for up to 13 years is $359. Children need to become members to access the Kids Academy.
