Live at the Archway! | DUMBO | Wednesday 7/5

Live at the Archway is a kid-friendly concert and event series hosted by the DUMBO BID in the Archway under the Manhattan Bridge in DUMBO. Doors at 5pm. Music at 6pm. Rain or shine.

Storytime in the Park | Fort Greene Park | Thursday 7/6

Sing, read, and play with librarians from Brooklyn Public Library this Summer! Have fun hearing great picture books read aloud and playing with other children every Thursday at Fort Greene Park, from June – August from 4 – 4.45 pm.

Game Night in the Archway | DUMBO | Thursday 7/6

Hang out after work and meet fellow Dumbo creative companies with beer, music and organized + casual games. Lawn games and mind games. All fun. All together. Special games presented with Come Out and Play – New York’s favorite group game creators. Thursdays 5 to 7 pm in the Dumbo Archway.

Outdoor movies | Fort Greene Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park | Thursday 7/6

House Party Thursday, July 6th 6:00-10pm, Fort Greene Park 

Aspiring club promoters and best buddies Damon and Kevin are barely keeping things together. Out of money, down on their luck and about to lose the roofs over their heads, they need a huge windfall to make their problems go away. July 6: E.T. Extra Terrestrial Thursday Harbor View Lawn Brooklyn Bridge Park

A 1982 sci-fi/family/adventure favorite, rated PG (profanity and some depictions of violence). The story follows a young boy named Elliott, who befriends an extraterrestrial creature stranded on Earth known simply as E.T.. Elliott helps him navigate the new, unfamiliar world of Earth and search for a way home, all while keeping his existence a secret. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film cast includes Dee Wallace, Henry Thomas, Peter Coyote, Robert MacNaughton, and Drew Barrymore. Pre-show music by DJ Edica+. BAM Film short: Nighty Night by Matt Porter. Pier 1 Harbor View Lawn. Doors open at 6:00 PM, movies start at sundown.

Summer Fridays | Brooklyn Bridge Park | Friday 7/7

Every first Friday of the summer months, performance and community hub Friends And Lovers activate the Greenway Terrace with a curated presentation of live music and chill vibes. Grab a drink, hang with friends and family, and enjoy the beautiful skyline as a cast of DJ’s and performers provide you with a lush weekend warm-up. Pier 3 from 6 to 9 pm.

Summer fun with block building, crafts & free books | Atlantic Terminal Mall Plaza | Saturday 7/8

Free Lego building, summer crafts and books – best suited for ages 2 – 10. Join Brooklyn Book Bodega for free books and activities for the whole family. Saturday July 8th from 12 to 2 pm at Atlantic Terminal Mall Plaza, RSVP here.

Basketball clinics | Pier 2 | Tuesdays

Recommended for ages 7-17, join Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy for 2 hour basketball clinics led by KING Hoops. Learn basketball basics as head coaches lead participants through drills and games. Clinics run on Tuesdays from May 30 through July 25 at Pier 2. Clinics for ages 7 to 12 will be from 4 to 5 pm, while clinics for ages 13 to 17 will be from 5 to 6 pm. Advanced registration and waivers are required, although walk-up registrations can be accommodated as space allows. Registration will open at this link every Tuesday at 10 am for class the following week.

Kayaking | Pier 4 | Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays

Free family-friendly kayaking is offered throughout the summer on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and Saturday and Sunday afternoons through September in Brooklyn Bridge Park. Find out more here.

Open Streets | Montague Street | Saturdays

Tip toe through Montague Street Blooms, a 6-foot flower pop up park, and enjoy the magical public space, practice and learn to score goals, dribble, and zigzag from the pros at Super Soccer Stars, use your imagination to play with New York Society of Play. After you’ve worked up an appetite, visit Mad for Chicken, 80 Montague Street, where kids eat free from 12-5pm.

Storytime | Barnes and Noble in Cobble Hill | Saturdays

Weekly story time on Saturdays at 11 am for kids ages 2 to 8 is back at the new Barnes & Noble location on Atlantic Avenue in Cobble Hill.
