Juneteenth Talent Showcase | PS 307 | Wednesday 6/14
The Juneteenth Talent Showcase is a fundraiser for the Brooklyn Diamonds cheer team. We are honoring black history through Music, Dance & Poetry. The Diamonds, PS307 students, staff and alumni will perform. 6pm – 8pm doors open at 5:30pm, refreshments will be sold. $10 adults $5 school age children.

At 11 a.m., children’s performer Mr. Marc the MC kicks off the Friends of John Jay Jaguars Athletics’ 1ST Annual 7th Heaven Fundraising Community Festival. Basketball entertainer Jack “Blackjack” Ryan takes the stage (between 4th and 5th Sts) at 11:45 a.m. In the afternoon, the free show shifts to live music from Juan Ma Morales, Cellarhead and Michael Hill, mixes from DJ The Beyonder, a demo from the John Jay Jaguars Cheer Squad and pizza Eating Contest (5pm). Proceeds from family-friendly carnival games, face-painting, auction, and local business foods will support equity and inclusion in local public school sports. Photoville exhibit in Brooklyn Bridge Park with their classic shipping containers runs from June 3 to June 18 daily from 12 to 8 pm (closed Mondays). In total, there will be over 50 exhibitions all over Brooklyn Bridge Park, 18 of them in shipping containers and the rest of them open air installations.
Basketball clinics | Pier 2 | Tuesdays
Recommended for ages 7-17, join Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy for 2 hour basketball clinics led by KING Hoops. Learn basketball basics as head coaches lead participants through drills and games. Clinics run on Tuesdays from May 30 through July 25 at Pier 2. Clinics for ages 7 to 12 will be from 4 to 5 pm, while clinics for ages 13 to 17 will be from 5 to 6 pm. Advanced registration and waivers are required, although walk-up registrations can be accommodated as space allows. Registration will open at this link every Tuesday at 10 am for class the following week.
