Pollinator Walk at The Bee Conservancy | Governors Island

Sunday, October 20 | 2pm

Join us on Governors Island for our monthly Pollinator Walks, from June through October! With an experienced guide, you will learn about and hunt for New York City’s pollinators and the habitats that support them. Come relax, observe, and explore nature through the lens of pollinators—and contribute to scientific research in the process! We invite you to download the iNaturalist app on your phone in advance of this event so you can participate in impactful community science action. During the walk, you will photograph pollinators and upload them to our “A Bee or Not a Bee?” iNaturalist project, collaborating with naturalists around the world to determine whether the insect buzzing by is a bee, wasp, fly, or other common bee doppelgänger.
