Suzi Shelton is a multi-award-winning singer/songwriter based in Brooklyn, NY who has been recognized as a voice in indie family music for more than two decades. She has four solo albums under her belt, and produces a popular weekly live stream show on her Facebook and YouTube Channels called “Sing with Suzi – a joyful show for little kids” featuring a diverse array of special guests that The New York Times declared as “a lifesaver for parents during these challenging times at home.” Suzi is currently working on a new EP of upbeat, original songs that she plans to release very soon. NYC’s most unique pumpkin patch is just a ferry ride away October 26 & 27, 2024, featuring arts & crafts, trick or treating on both days, fall-themed food and drink, and—of course—a huge pumpkin patch in Nolan Park. Pumpkins. Tricks. And plenty of treats. Save the date for Seaport Kids x Halloween Block Party, in partnership with Mommy Poppins and Brooklyn Bridge Parents. From 3pm to 5pm on Saturday, October 26, the cobblestones and Seaport Square will transform into a Halloween-themed block party for kids. Enjoy a live music performance from urban cowboy musician Hopalong Andrew from 4:00-4:45pm, as well as pumpkin-painting, face-painting, halloween crafts activities and, of course, a celebration of attendees’ fabulous costumes. Guests are encouraged to wear costumes (both themselves and their doggos) for a chance to win a prize. We will choose two (2) winners – 1 dog winner and 1 human winner. Each winner will receive a Tin Building gift card.

Stop by our annual Halloween Festival on 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge with FREE pumpkin decorating, bouncy house, music, kids activities, trick-or-treating and more! Brooklyn Bridge Parents is partnering up with the 5th Avenue BID in Bay Ridge to host a big fall festival on 10 blocks on car-free 5th Avenue from 72nd to 85th Street. Come enjoy the many restaurants from all over the world and a block party with bouncy houses, arts & crafts, pumpkin decorating, “Trunk-or-Treat”, haunted truck, music and much more. The free event will take place on Saturday, October 26th from 3 to 7 pm. Kids are encouraged to come in costumes!

Take a second look at the creatures that crawl around and fly in the park, you may find you like them! Participate in fun activities and experiments that will make your spine tingle at Propect Park Alliance Natureween!
- Owl Pellet Dissection | 10am–1 pm | Participants will have the opportunity to pick apart owl pellets, masses of undigested parts of food that owl species occasionally regurgitate!
- Mask and Finger Puppet Workshop | 10am-1 pm | Participants will explore under logs, leaves and branches and you may come eye to eye with an unexpected. Search for Prospect Park’s critters that are often overlooked!
- Nature Chef’s Surprise! | 11 am–12 pm | Our nature chef has some tasty treats for you to try that are delicious, nutritious, and crunchy! Take a nibble and earn a special certificate and boasting button. Learn how this mystery treat is a sustainable alternative protein source that has nutritional benefits.
- Bug Explorations | 12–1 pm | Participants will explore under logs, leaves and branches and you may come eye to eye with Prospect Park nature’s creepy insect residents!

This year, the parade will begin at the ramp entrance to the Promenade at Orange Street and Columbia Heights. Parade-goers will walk the full length of the Promenade, led by our parade captain from Treasure Trunk Theater. Raffle and treats at the Remsen Street finale. After the parade, head over to Montague Street for some Spooky Open Streets, in partnership with the Montague BID.

The FREE Greenpoint Children’s Halloween Parade will step off around 12 Noon in McCarren Park (Manhattan Avenue and Driggs Avenue). Costumed kids of all ages will march up Manhattan Avenue to Greenpoint Avenue and back to the park. Following the parade will be a ticketed Spooktacular Party (tickets start at $20) indoors at Hide & Seek, located at 593 Manhattan Avenue, with timed 50-minute sessions at 10 AM, 11 AM, 1 PM and 2 PM. Coastal Cleanup | Brooklyn Bridge Park

Volunteers, as a group, cleanup our coastlines by helping to remove debris that has washed into the marshes and beaches with the tides. Awards will be given in the categories of: Best use of Stroller/Wagon, Scariest, Best Group/Family/Ensemble, Best Infant, Best Pop Culture, Best Classic Halloween, Most Creative, and Best use of Recycled/Green Materials. (Favoritism is given to cheap, DIY, creative, and recycled costumes!) After the contest, all participants parade around Washington Park.
