The German grocery store chain Lidl will soon open three stores in Brooklyn, including a 30,000-square-foot store on Fulton Street Mall in Downtown Brooklyn. The location will open sometime in 2025 at 490 Fulton Street, where the Express Factory Outlet is currently located. Lidl has also announced locations opening in Crown Heights (1730 Bedford Avenue) and Park Slope (120 Fifth Avenue, which was formerly home to a Key Foods). The discount grocery store will offer fresh produce, meat, seafood, baked goods, grocery essentials, and more at low prices. While comparable to Trader Joe’s, Lidl has a wider selection of classic brands, whereas Trader Joe’s stocks mainly their own private label. In addition to food, Lidl also sells clothing, home appliances, kitchen equipment, and more at discounted prices.
