Home of Soccer in Brooklyn Bridge Park – Everything you need to know

Spanning more than 25,000 square feet at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Emily Roebling Plaza near Pier 1, the free, open-to-the-public space will run through Sunday, July 19 almost daily from 12 to 10 pm. Everything you need to know from how to RSVP, what to bring, what to look forward to, which soccer legends already showed up, how to play soccer in there and more!

Plan your visit:

  • You must have a free ticket to enter (QR code in wallet), RSVP here around 5 or 6 pm in the evening the day before
  • No ticket, no entry and even with ticket admission granted only on a first come, first served basis
  • Each adult can add two children under 18 to their ticket
  • Some days they reach capacity around 3 pm, other days later in the day depending on the popularity of the games the day off
  • The space is kid-friendly and overall not too crowded
  • Come early if you want to be sure to get in and stay as long as you want
  • They have capacity for 3,500 fans and release 8,000 tickets daily
  • Bring a towel or picnic blanket to watch the games or hang on the grass in the beer garden
  • While the area below the Brooklyn Bridge is shady, bring hat and sunscreen
  • There are hydration stations, bring a water bottle that is NOT glass (bag check, no glass bottles allowed)
  • Before some games (around 20 minutes before) they raffle free Panini cards, some signed to the audience and kids love that!

How to Play a 3v3 game on The Pitch

  • Download the PLEI Pick Up Soccer app and reserve a game slot in the morning of the day of your visit (not the day before)
  • All ages, it is free to play
  • They provide soccer shoes and ball to play

Additional experiences:

  • Food and Beverage: Local food and drink vendors, including a beer garden for those aged 21+.
  • You can also watch the games on screens in the beer garden sitting on benches or in the grass (bring picnic blanket)
  • Panini: Fans in attendance will have access to Panini’s FIFA World Cup 26 card and sticker collections, as well as the opportunity to create their own personalized Panini x adidas card.
  • Photo ops with Adidas soccer shoe and World Cup ball

Opening hours

The space is open through Sunday, July 19 almost daily from 12 to 10 pm but will be fully closed on July 3–5 for 4th of July celebrations. There are no matches being screened on July 8, July 12, and July 13, but the event space will be open to the public. On the dates below, event programming will extend for the following screenings:

  • 6/25: Turkey vs USA (10:00 PM game start, 12:30 AM event close)
  • 6/26: Uruguay vs Spain (8:00 PM game start, 10:30 PM event close)
  • 7/11: Quarterfinal match – teams TBD (9:00 PM game start, 11:30 PM event close)

You must have a free ticket to enter, RSVP here in the evening the day before you want to go. With admission granted on a first come, first served basis. Reservations will open on a rolling basis, allowing you to book in advance. You must have a free ticket to enter in any case!

Soccer legend appearances

On Sunday, June 14 former French and Brazilian national players – Kaka, Marcelo, Rodrygo, Zidane and Pogba made appearances, signed autographs and greeted fans!
