Welcome to the New York Society of Play! Join us for days full of magic, friendship, and adventure this summer at our summer camps in Fort Greene and Greenpoint! Our mission is to give children of all ages the social tools they need to excel at playing with others! Using Fantasy games like Pokemon, Dungeons & Dragons, and Minecraft, we learn about concepts like safety and trust, and why we need them to have fun!
The Morning is for adventures in the park! Heroes will use spells, foam swords, and logic to solve problems, rescue citizens, discover treasure, and defeat monsters (our staff!) in Fantasy Frontier! Fantasy Frontier is an NYSoP original game. Our counselors and game designers put their minds together to create the ultimate fantasy experience for a child! Students become heroes of a two-week-long epic crafted by expert storytellers. Each story has its own surprises, such as unique cards, one-of-a-kind villains, and more!
The core themes of Fantasy Frontier are cooperation and community; kids of all ages and personalities band together to take a stand as the forces of good. Heroes are brought closer together by their successes, defeats, and close calls. From action-packed battles to play-acting, bartering, and puzzles, there is a moment for every hero to shine!
Ages: 7-13
Camp dates: Session 2: July 10 – 21 ($1,200), Session 3: July 24 – August 4 ($1,200), Session 4: August 7 – August 18 ($1,200), Session 5: August 21 – September 1 ($1,200), One-Week Sign-ups Available!
Camp hours: 9am – 3pm (extended day option until 6pm)
Costs: Session 1: $1050, Sessions 2-5: $1200, One-Week Sign-up: $800, After-Camp Clubs (extended day): $550/Session, $300/Week, $70/Day
