South Street Seaport Museum has kicked off its summer sailing season for the 1885 schooner Pioneer that runs until October 1, 2023. Families can experience New York City with the Seaport Museum’s two-hour sails aboard the historic 1885 schooner Pioneer. As you set sail, you’ll witness some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including the Brooklyn Bridge, Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan’s architectural treasures, Governors Island, Ellis Island, and more.
As a guest on board, you’ll have the chance to get hands-on and help raise a sail or support the captain. No food or drink sales on the boat, but you can bring your food, drinks and alcohol. You should also bring a light jacket and solid shoes for the trip. The boat leaves from the Seaport, a 3 minute walk from where you exit the NYC Ferry from Brooklyn at Pier 11. Get your tickets here.
