Kids Are Obsessed With Splat Lab So We Created Splat Camp (sponsored)

Splat Lab was created by accident. A local charter school had an unexpected slot open in their after-school program. They asked Taylor Vecchio if she could fill it with a new class. She figured this was an opportunity to design a cool class that is fun for the sake of fun alone. She created Splat Lab, a new experience where kids move from station to station freely, jumping from building cup towers to making monster drool to designing marshmallow towers. Kids were immediately obsessed. They would run up to her and confess “I’ve been thinking about Splat all week, I couldn’t even concentrate in school today!”. In 2020, Splat Camp was born in Downtown Brooklyn to provide a full day of Splat Magic and kids are obsessed. In the mornings kids learn about ancient mythology in our Anthropology Arts class. In Splat Lab they make cool projects based on the weekly theme like Halloween week where they will make spider web slime or space week where they will shoot off bottle rockets in Fort Greene park. The afternoons are filled with outdoor games and clubs like cooking and drawing. Splat Camp is available 7/5-8/6 for ages 4-10 from 8:30 am-3 pm with extended day until 6 pm.
