Your guide to the FIFA World Cup 2026 in New York

The FIFA World Cup 2026 is taking place in 16 host cities, one of them New York and 1.2 million fans are expected to visit our region for this mega event. All local matches will take place at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey from Saturday, June 13 to Sunday, July 19 which is the Final of the tournament. You might get a chance to watch Germany versus Ecuador or Panama versus England live in the Tristate area. Here is where to watch and party in Brooklyn and how to get into the “soccer fever” with the whole family:

Fan Zone “Adidas home of Soccer” | 6/13 -7/19 | Brooklyn Bridge Park | Free

Spanning more than 25,000 square feet at Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Emily Roebling Plaza near Pier 1, the free, open-to-the-public space will start on Saturday, June 13 and run through Sunday, July 19 daily from 12 to 10 pm. With the ability to host more than 3,500 fans, the space includes a watch party area for matches throughout the tournament, as well as:
  • Food and Beverage: Curated local food and drink vendors, including a beer garden for those aged 21+.
  • The Pitch: A small-side soccer pitch featuring a two-floor buildout for fans, creators and streamers. The Pitch will feature 3v3 games. When not used for the tournament, fans will be able to rent the pitch for free via the PLEI Additionally, the U.S. Soccer Foundation will host a series of 4v4 pitch takeovers for Just Ball League.
  • Panini: Fans in attendance will have access to Panini’s FIFA World Cup 26 card and sticker collections, as well as the opportunity to create their own personalized Panini x adidas card.
  • Performances by GRAMMY-nominated PinkPantheress and Larry June

Kids’ Soccer Village and Watch Party | 6/17 | Downtown Brooklyn | Free

Wednesday, June 17 | 3:30–6pm | Brooklyn Commons Park, Downtown Brooklyn | FREE

A Brooklyn Bridge Parents event! Brooklyn Commons Park transforms into Downtown Brooklyn’s Soccer Village for the day. Enjoy soccer-themed crafts, goal-shooting activities, Duplo LEGO play, foosball table, live screen printing, and more — plus catch the England vs. Croatia match at 4 pm. Soccer, Sun & Fun at Summer Saturdays | 7/18 | Downtown Brooklyn | Free

Come play soccer, make soccer crafts for the final of the World Cup and enjoy some water play at our Summer Saturdays series on Atlantic Terminal Plaza on Saturday, July 18 from 11 am to 1 pm (rain date Sunday, July 19). Free RSVP here.

House of GOAL | 7/3 – 7/19 | Industry City | Free

House of GOAL, the largest soccer culture festival of the summer, takes over Industry City from July 3 to 19, 2026, with free admission and registration open now at goal.com/houseofgoal. Built for families during the World Cup, the festival runs 1pm–9pm on weekdays and 1pm–3am on weekends, with kid-friendly programming concentrated in the afternoons. Families can drop in at the outdoor Community Field for youth clinics, open play, and small-sided matches led by local organizations TAL3NTO and Youth 4 Youth FC, watch National Women’s Soccer League Rivalry Week parties from July 10–15, explore a global food market curated by Brooklyn chef Akhtar Nawab, and check out a rotating film program and interactive gaming zone. Girls can also sign up for on-site tryouts tied to the National Women’s Soccer League for a chance to spend a day in the life of a pro player.

The WORLD by Zum Schneider at Franklin Point | All games | Greenpoint | Free & ticketed depending on match

Join a multi-week viewing series celebrating global football culture across three distinct zones showing all 104 games: The Roof, The Arena, and The Street. Catch the action on giant screens with pro sound, live DJs and games paired with German food and drink. This World Cup public viewing series is kid-friendly during the day. For select high-demand matches that require reservations, children ages 4 and up will need a reservation. Children ages 3 and under are free for those matches. Pricing for those matches start at $35/person.

Matches at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey

Seven matches will take place at Met Life Stadium in New Jersey, find out more here. Fans must be at least 16 years old to enter the stadium without an accompanying adult.

  • Tuesday, 30 June at 5 pm, Knock-Out Match Round of 32 – New York New Jersey Stadium
  • Sunday, 5 July at 5 pm, Knock-out Match Round of 16 – New York New Jersey Stadium
  • Sunday, 19 July at 3 pm Final – New York New Jersey Stadium

How to get tickets & How to get to the stadium

Closer to the tournament, fans will be able to purchase any remaining inventory on a first come, first served basis. No more lotteries are being run. Public transportation and ride shares are the only options for getting to the Met Life Stadium. On-site parking is not allowed.

NYC Fan Zones for the 2026 World Cup in Manhattan and Queens

If you want to soak up the global energy of the tournament without a ticket to the stadium, New York City is hosting additional official fan zones beyond Brooklyn packed with live match screenings and interactive activities for kids and adults alike.

World Cup 26 Fan Zone – Queens

  • Where: Louis Armstrong Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center (Flushing, Queens)

  • When: June 17–28, 2026

  • What to Expect: The “world’s borough” is taking over the iconic tennis stadium to bring the world’s game to life. You can watch live match broadcasts in a true stadium setting. This fan zone is perfect for families, featuring a lineup of family-friendly entertainment, interactive soccer games, and an amazing array of local food vendors that highlight the cultural diversity of Queens.

World Cup 26 & Telemundo Fan Village at Rockefeller Center

  • Where: Rockefeller Center (Midtown Manhattan)

  • When: July 4–19, 2026

  • What to Expect: Rockefeller Center is completely transforming for the tournament. The famous Rink will become an immersive, interactive soccer pitch complete with giant screens for live match viewing. Families can enjoy live musical performances, interactive fan experiences across the plaza, and potential appearances by soccer legends. Be sure to check out the Channel Gardens, which will be turned into a living “Champions’ Garden” paying tribute to the eight nations that have previously lifted the World Cup trophy.

German House of Soccer in Chelsea

  • Where: Chelsea Industrial (525 West 28th Street, Manhattan)

  • When: June 11 – July 11, 2026 (German Family Fan Fest June 13)

  • What to Expect: The German Football Association (DFB) is taking over a massive 21,000-square-foot space in Chelsea to bring German soccer culture to NYC for the duration of the tournament. The space is free and designed to welcome fans of all ages. Families will particularly love the “Soccer Gallery Area,” which offers interactive fan experiences, exhibits on soccer history, and the rare chance to take photos with some of Germany’s most famous championship trophies. When you are ready to watch a match, the Match Day Area offers public viewing of selected games on big screens, complete with stage programming, talks, and authentic German food and pretzels at fan-friendly prices.
