Now in its fifth year, Lightscape with more than one million lights across a mile-long trail is now open until January 4, 2026. What is new this year, bringing the kids, ticket prices, hours and how to enjoy it 21+ only….

The trail
- 19 different installations including a new fountain show in the Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden (slightly Las Vegas style), 400 fireflies moving in the Osborne Garden, the returning Winter Cathedral and a reimagined Sea of Light
- The one way trail takes you around 45 – 90 minutes depending on your walking speed
- This year’s soundtrack includes more commonly known songs like Let It Go from FROZEN and some Christmas classics
- As usual no touching or running around on the grass for kids
- The trail paths are wheelchair and stroller accessible (no bikes or scooters allowed)
- Lightscape takes place in all weather (rain or shine)
- Entry runs from 4.30 – 8 pm depending on the date

There are kiosks along the trail where you can buy hot chocolate, cider, snacks and more. You can also stop midway to dine at Lightscape Lodge. The menu features winter-inspired dishes and a kid’s menu, too. Advance reservations for the restaurant—and Lightscape tickets—are required.
