Meet Alexandra Gupta, real estate broker at Corcoran Group with a true focus on the Brooklyn residential market, founder of Brooklyn women’s business circle and Boerum Hill mom of a toddler boy. Find out more about her career and her life in Brooklyn!

Your job title: Brooklyn Real Estate Broker, Corcoran Group and founder of Brooklyn women’s business circle

Your work in one sentence: I help sellers close chapters and buyers start fresh ones, in true Brooklyn style!

Your child: My son Eli is a joyful, curious 3-year-old with a bright spirit and a fearless heart. He’s incredibly smart, always asking questions and exploring the world with wide-eyed wonder. Whether he’s making us laugh or leading his next little adventure, Eli brings fun, warmth, and so much love into every day.

Where does your son go to school: Metrokids Preschool is a warm, nurturing early childhood center in Cobble Hill, offering a strong academic foundation through play-based and STEM-focused learning. What sets them apart is their Mandarin immersion program, which introduces young learners to a second language in a natural, engaging way—boosting cognitive development and global awareness.

Which neighborhood do you live in: Boerum Hill is a charming, tree-lined neighborhood in Brooklyn known for its historic brownstones, cozy cafes, and creative energy. It has a small-town feel with a strong sense of community, all while being just steps from the heart of the city. This is where I grew up—surrounded by culture, character, and the kind of neighborhood warmth that stays with you.

What do you love about living in Brooklyn: I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and there’s just something about it that’s in my bones. I love the energy—the mix of cultures, the creativity on every corner, and the way each neighborhood has its own rhythm. There’s a realness to Brooklyn that you can’t fake, and a sense of pride that comes from growing up in a place that’s always evolving but never loses its soul. From the food to the people to the streets I’ve walked since I was a kid, Brooklyn will always be home. Photo: Alexandra as a child in Brooklyn 1995
