Your work in one sentence: I create organic, non-toxic rugs that are as safe and soft as they are beautiful, designed to support the everyday moments of family life.
Your children: I have a daughter who inspired the inception of Sage & Wild. Her presence in my life continually motivates me to design products that prioritize safety, comfort, and aesthetic appeal.
Where do your kids go to school: My daughter will be attending Brooklyn Preschool of Science this fall.
Which neighborhood do you live in: We live in Park Slope.
What do you love about living in Brooklyn: Brooklyn offers a unique blend of urban energy and close-knit community vibes. I appreciate the emphasis on sustainability, the support for small businesses, and the abundance of family-friendly spaces.
More information about your business: Sage & Wild started when I was designing my daughter’s nursery and realized I couldn’t find a rug I actually felt good about — one that was safe enough for her to roll around on, but still beautiful enough to live in our home for years. Everything I came across was either made with questionable materials or didn’t feel like something that complemented my home’s aesthetic. So I decided to create the rug I was looking for — and it turned out, I wasn’t the only parent who felt that gap.
At Sage & Wild, we make GOTS certified organic, machine washable rugs from natural materials like cotton and wool — no synthetic fillers, no toxic coatings. Just soft, safe, timeless rugs that can handle real family life. They’re made for the floor moments: first steps, storytime snuggles, snack spills, and everything in between.
