Berry Playground | Williamsburg | NOW REOPENED
Berry Playground was recently renovated and reopened in Williamsburg. Located on S 3rd Street between Bedford Avenue and Berry Street, this small but beautifully designed playground is fun for all ages. It includes swings, a spray shower, two jungle gyms, climbing cubes, activity walls, and a basketball court. Unfortunately there are no restrooms.

Warby Parker | Downtown Brooklyn | NOW OPEN
Warby Parker is opening a new location at City Point BKLYN on January 31, 2026. The Downtown Brooklyn store will offer eye exams, the brand’s full optical and sunglass assortment (including the Spring 2026 and Kids collections), contact lenses, and accessories, and will feature artwork by local cartoonist Roz Chast.

MOUV Reformer Pilates Studio | Vinegar Hill | NOW OPEN
MOUV is now open at 247 Water Street in Vinegar Hill. The Reformer and Infrared Hot Pilates Studio offers 50-minute Pilates Reformer classes, 50-minute Hot Mat classes with infrared heating panels, and more. Play Thru Golf | Clinton Hill | NOW OPEN
Brooklyn’s only 24/7 golf simulator is now open on Atlantic Avenue. Kids and teens are welcome! No memberships are required, and you can reserve a bay online. They have clubs (including youth clubs, best for at least 50″ tall), tees, and balls, and can host up to 4 players per bay. Play Thru Golf also offers lessons, tournaments, and private events.

Petit Poussins | New location in Carroll Gardens | NOW OPEN
Petits Poussins is opening up a new location in Carroll Gardens at 283 Court Street. The French-English bilingual daycare will infants and toddlers ages 3 months to 2 years. Each classroom has one French-speaking teacher and one English-speaking teacher, with a curriculum focused on early language acquisition, well-being, and the development of fine and gross motor skills. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Just Kidding: A Junior Improv Collective | Williamsburg | NOW OPEN
Just Kidding! is a kids improv program for ages 7–12, offering a playful, supportive space to build creativity, confidence, and comedy skills through games and collaborative storytelling. The Spring 2026 semester begins the week of February 2 at Good Move near Domino Park, with free trial classes on Sunday, February 1 & Sunday, February 15 (2:30–3:30 pm). DUMBO Ceramics | DUMBO | NOW OPEN
A new pottery studio has opened in DUMBO, offering memberships, six-week classes, try nights, and beginner-friendly private events. No day passes are currently offered, but you can sign up for a “Try Night,” for those that want to give pottery a try before committing to a 6-week course. The studio has multiple clay bodies and glazes, 20+ wheels, electric kilns, with open studio access for class participants. Students enrolled in classes must be at least 16 years old. However, family memberships are available, and children ages 12-17 can join on a family membership. The studio is open daily (Mon–Fri 10am–9pm; Sat–Sun 10am–7pm).

Rikud Movement Studio | Prospect Heights | NOW OPEN
Rikud Movement Studio has opened in Prospect Heights, offering kids and adult classes in hip-hop, breaking, and street dance. The studio offers an alternative to traditional studio culture, with no recitals, ballet, or mirrors. Rikud offers classes for ages 0 and up, plus camps for Pre-K through 8th Grade, parties, and more. They are now enrolling for Mid-Winter Break, Spring After-School and Summer Camp!

The Altered Thread | Flatbush | NOW OPEN
The Altered Thread is a new sewing studio in Ditmas Park offering not only alterations, bridal fittings, and tailoring, but also beginner sewing classes, kids’ fashion labs, and advanced workshops for aspiring designers. Their kids sewing class (ages under 13) introduces machine safety, basic sewing skills, and simple garment construction through guided projects, while the Teen Fashion & Sewing Lab (ages 13–18) focuses on industrial machines, pattern reading, garment construction, and upcycling. All machines and tools are provided, and no prior experience is required.

Parkish | Williamsburg | Opening date TBA
Parkish is a 5,000-square-foot indoor play space coming to Williamsburg that will be members-only, open from 6am to 10pm every day. The concept is part indoor park, cafe (with coffee, wine, and light bites), and social club, designed for both kids and adults. Interested families can join the waitlist here.

The Fresh Grocer | Downtown Brooklyn | Opening February 13, 2026
Fulton Mall is getting a new supermarket. The Pennsylvania-based chain The Fresh Grocer will open at 523 Fulton Street on February 13, and the first 100 guests will receive a tote bag and a gift card.

Brooklyn Uprising | DUMBO | Opening February 2026
Brooklyn Uprising, a new indoor bouldering gym, is opening in February 2026 at 20 John Street in DUMBO, across from Brooklyn Bridge Park. The facility (ages 16+ only) will offer bouldering walls, strength-training equipment, locker rooms with showers, and a cedar sauna, along with optional climbing coaching and personal training. Memberships will start at $135 per month, with additional day pass, punch pass, and annual options planned.

UNIQLO | Williamsburg | Opening March 20, 2026
The Japanese clothing brand UNIQLO will open a new flagship at 187 Kent Avenue later this year. The affordable retailer is expanding in the U.S. in 2026, and will also open a handful of new locations in Manhattan. Located on the ground floor of a 7-story mixed-use building, UNIQLO will sell clothes and accessories for men and women, as well as for kids and babies.

A new candy shop is coming to 664 Fulton Street this spring, and will send both sweets and select pantry items.

Greenpoint Comedy Club | Opening Spring 2026
The Greenpoint Comedy Club will be opening in the spring on Greenpoint Avenue between Franklin Street and West Street. Get ready to laugh by signing up for their email list here.

The Malin Co-Working Space | New location in Brooklyn Heights | Spring 2026
The co-working company The Malin has announced a new location coming to 57 Court Street in Brooklyn Heights. The 15,000 square foot space will be located on the second floor above SoulCycle, Sephora, and Hot 8 Yoga. This will be The Malin’s 7th location in New York City and its 2nd location in Brooklyn, with an outpost already established in Williamsburg.

Five Iron Golf | Williamsburg | Opening Spring 2026
Indoor golf simulation with a clubhouse style restaurant is coming to the plaza at 25 Kent Avenue. Slated to open in spring of 2026, this location will have state-of-the-art Trackman golf simulator bays, high-speed swing cameras, and access to 200+ world-class virtual golf courses.

Expansion of Brooklyn Conservatory of Music | Grand Army Plaza | Opening Fall 2026
In Fall 2026, the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music will open a second hub on Grand Army Plaza, just a few blocks away from their Park Slope home at 58 7th Avenue. The new 12,000 square foot expansion at One Prospect Park West will more than double enrollment in their music programs, and will house their new Music Therapy Institute. Blooming Prep Preschool | Brooklyn Heights | Opening date TBA
Blooming Prep is opening its first school at 168 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights, taking over a former CVS location that has also been a seasonal October location for the Halloween store Spirit Halloween. The preschool will implement a Reggio Emilia curriculum.

Vuori | Williamsburg | Opening date TBA
The athletic clothing brand Vuori is opening a new retail location in Williamsburg. The new shop will be on 6th Street between Berry and Wythe, next to Rothy’s.

The Goods Mart | Williamsburg | Opening date TBA
The Goods Mart, a convenience store focused on healthier snacks and pantry staples, is coming later this year to Williamsburg Wharf, the new mixed-use waterfront development at 470 Kent Avenue. This will be the shop’s first location in Williamsburg, joining a retail lineup at Williamsburg Wharf that includes a new location of Breads Bakery and a restaurant from chef Eyal Shani. The female-owned Goods Mart offers snacks, drinks, and everyday items from emerging brands.

Lidl | Williamsburg | Opening date TBA
Another 27,0000-square-foot location of Lidl is slated to open soon on the ground floor of 597 Grand Street in Williamsburg. The new store will occupy a mixed-use retail and residential building between Leonard and Lorimer Streets, which was the former site of a Key Foods. Similar to Trader Joe’s and Aldi, Lidl offers a broad assortment of products, including its 49-cent butter croissants, private-label Butcher’s Specialty meats, and Bon Gelati mini ice cream bars. Shoppers can also find gourmet favorites like frozen tiramisu, aged Parmigiano Reggiano, and authentic prosciutto.

Arizona College of Nursing | Downtown Brooklyn | Opening date TBA
Arizona College of Nursing is opening its first New York campus after signing a 10-year lease for 40,000 square feet at 532 Fulton Street in Downtown Brooklyn. The Glendale, Arizona–based school will occupy the sixth through eighth floors of the Paxton, a 43-story mixed-use tower near Borough Hall and MetroTech.
