New pavilion with restrooms to be built at Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park

New pavilion with restrooms to be built at Pier 1 in Brooklyn Bridge Park

Construction at the Pier 1 entrance area where the lemonade concession was in the past is set to break ground in July. The new entry into the park promises to better circulate pedestrian and bike traffic in this very busy section of the park.

The pavilion will provide a shaded space where visitors can meet, regroup, relax or enjoy a meal. The LEED Gold building will also include a concession and permanent public restrooms. Construction is planned mid-Summer through Fall 2024. Pier 1 and the entirety of Brooklyn Bridge Park will remain open throughout construction.
