Brooklyn has six schools on the list, led by BASIS Independent Brooklyn at #6 in the country. Manhattan accounts for 30 of the 42 places. Note that independent schools offering Kindergarten to 8th Grade (or Grades 6 to 8) are not included in this ranking.
