NYC’s Only STEAM Camp in a Purpose-Built Kids’ Makerspace in Carroll Gardens (sponsored)

Some kids want to build robots and others want to make movies, design clothes, or launch rockets. At MakeInspires, all of them find their thing.
MakeInspires is Brooklyn’s home for hands-on STEAM education, and this summer we’re opening our doors for an experience unlike any other camp in the borough. We’re not a gym or a ball field. We’re a purpose-built kids’ makerspace in Carroll Gardens, right off the F train at Smith & 9th, designed so kids ages 5 to 15 can build, code, design, and create the projects they actually want to.

What’s happening this summer

Each week, campers explore our core STEAM subjects: Minecraft Education, Stop Motion Animation, Rocketry, 3D Printing, Robotics, Video Game Design, and more. Full-day campers can also add on Expert Sessions with specialty instructors in topics like FIRST LEGO League, Fashion Tech, Dungeons & Dragons, Soldering, Python Coding, Drones & Airplanes, Woodworking, and Roblox Developer, offered throughout the summer from June 15th through September 9th. A catered lunch add-on is also available.

Why MakeInspires

Over the last 15 years and more than 15,000 students, we’ve built more than 60 original curricula and designed every inch of our spaces for making. Kids leave camp with real projects they’re proud of and a confidence in their own ideas that lasts well past Labor Day.
Need-based scholarships are available for families earning under $200,000 a year, with discounts of up to 90% off.
