Photoville 2025 returns to Brooklyn Bridge Park June 8-22

Photoville is a free, family-friendly photography festival featuring 80 exhibits by local and international artists, on view from June 8 to June 22 in Brooklyn Bridge Park. In this guide, you’ll find everything you need to know: details on the Opening Weekend celebration at Emily Warren Roebling Plaza, a roundup of the most kid-friendly exhibits, exhibit hours, plus additional locations beyond Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The festival will kick off with a free Opening Weekend Community Celebration in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Saturday, June 7 and Sunday, June 8. The celebration will include family-friendly programming, as well as food and beverage vendors from Smorgasburg. Plus, on the evening of Saturday, June 7, there will be an evening celebration of music, community, and visual storytelling from 7-9pm.

  • Family Activities with Creatively Wild! | 12-5pm | Join us for a fun and hands-on craft session! You’ll get to experiment with a variety of materials and make something uniquely your own. All ages and skill levels welcome—just bring your imagination!
  • Black & White Darkroom Demo | 12-6pm | Step into our vintage black & white darkroom and experience firsthand how a darkroom works.
  • Penumbra Tintype Portrait Booth | 12-7pm | Guests can have their portrait made through this historic 19th century process and will walk away that day with their own tintype.

In addition to the excitement of Opening Weekend, Photoville will offer kid-friendly activity packs, available at the information tent in Brooklyn Bridge Park during open hours from June 7 to 22.

All public exhibitions are in open spaces and will be on view during daylight hours, seven days a week. Some exhibitions may have limited hours, which will be reflected on each exhibition’s webpage.
