Saint Saviour Catholic Academy – small school, big heart (sponsored)

Saint Saviour Catholic Academy takes a student-centered approach to education. Our philosophy is rooted in the importance of social emotional development and a collaborative classroom community as the anchors for academic success. SSCA is a great option for parents who are interested in individualized attention within an ethnically diverse student population. Low class sizes in a warm and intimate building, combined with a dedicated faculty and staff, create a small school with a big heart. Our youngest students in the early childhood program benefit from a developmentally appropriate emergent curriculum. Hands-on projects, classroom centers and play based activities nurture school readiness skills and growth across all domains of child development. Throughout the elementary grades, students engage in a robust academic program, which includes the introduction of the special subject areas of Art, Music, Spanish, Library, and Physical Education. Middle School students look forward to new academic and enrichment options that include regents level Math and Science courses and a competitive First Lego League Robotics team. In addition to STEM, SSCA houses a vibrant music program with opportunities to participate in band, chorus and The Young Composer Initiative.

Across all grades, our teachers strive to encourage students to become enthusiastic learners who value academic and personal growth while embodying the values of compassion and empathy.
