Sing for Hope, a New York City-based non-profit, will place 50 pianos in parks and public spaces throughout the five boroughs from June 9 – June 19. A symbol of Sing for Hope’s commitment to making the arts available to everyone, the Pianos unite and engage diverse communities throughout New York City. The piano in Brooklyn Bridge Park will be playable on the Pier 1 promenade every day from June 9 to June 19, 6:00am to 1:00am.
Brooklyn-born artist Robert Padovano painted Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Piano this year. Robert’s work is recognized and displayed internationally, and his painting style draws from the Impressionist and Pointillist schools of art. In addition to painting, he’s also an award-winning graphic designer.
