Street fairs with free kids activities in May in Brooklyn

We will be co-hosting three outdoor events for families with countless free kids activities in Fort Greene, Downtown Brooklyn and DUMBO. Come out to play in May!

Family Fun Fest | Fort Greene | May 7

Atlantic Terminal Mall and Brooklyn Bridge Parents have partnered up to host a free family festival taking place at Atlantic Terminal’s outdoor plaza and streetspace on Saturday, May 7th from 12 to 4PM (rain date is Sunday, May 8th from 12 to 4PM). The event will house 25+ free kid-friendly activities from local community partners and Atlantic Terminal retailers. Free activities include bouncy house, arts & crafts, games, dance classes, gardening, learn to ride a bike lessons, giveaways & more! Families are encouraged to bring their children’s bicycles and scooters to use on car-free Fort Greene Place. RSVP here.

Bklyn Outdoor & Indoor Block Party | Downtown Brooklyn | May 14

Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, City Point and Brooklyn Bridge Parents are hosting the Bklyn Outdoor and Indoor Block Party for children 1 – 12 on May 14 from 11 am to 3 pm! Back by popular demand, Brooklyn Bridge Parents will bring the party to Downtown Brooklyn at both City Point (indoors) and Albee Square (outdoors) with free, fun activities for families with kids. Bouncy house, Lego building, arts & crafts, live music, Pokemon trading and games, soccer games and the Brooklyn Library Kids Mobile at City Point at 445 Albee Square West and Albee Square outside. DUMBO Drop 2022 | DUMBO | May 21

Brooklyn’s most iconic Block Party with a spectacle twist – thousands of elephants dropping onto Washington Street. Purchase your child’s elephant today! The event will take place on Saturday May 21 from 3 to 8 pm in car-free DUMBO. 20+ free kids activities including Pokemon trading, a nerf test range, arts & crafts, book giveaways, block building, face painting and much more will take place in the Brooklyn Bridge Parents kids zone in the Archway and the Pearl Street Triangle from 3 to 7 pm.
