Chelsea Piers Field House Brooklyn | Prospect Heights

Program Details: Chelsea Piers teaches tennis fundamentals to ages 3-6. Classes include Mini Aces for ages 3–4, Little Aces for ages 4–5, and CP Aces for elementary school kids. Classes are one hour. Fall 2025: The fall season will run from September 4 – November 26. Register here!

Court 16 Kids Tennis Academy | Downtown Brooklyn

Program Details: Court 16 offers as Kids Tennis Academy with group classes, private lessons, and semi-private lessons. The program uses a curriculum focused on building technical skills and understanding of the game. Membership is required to enroll in classes; only during the summer can non-members take classes. Fall 2025: The fall season will run from September 2, 2025 – February 1, 2026. Become a member here!

Levels: Beginner to advanced

Ages: 2.5-15

Costs: Membership is required to enroll in the Kids Tennis Academy (with the except of the Summer Season, when kids who are not members can take classes). Kids Memberships are $650/annually. Group Classes range from $40-$100, Private Sessions range from $98-$142, and Semi-Private Sessions range from $82-$125.

Downtown Tennis Club | Bay Ridge

Program Details: Downtown Tennis Club offers kids’ group lessons in Bay Ridge at John J. Carty Park, year-round. Classes are for ages 2–15, with students placed in groups by age and ability. The club also runs full-day and half-day summer camps. Fall 2025: The program runs year-round, sign up here!

Levels: Beginner to advanced

Ages: 2-15

Costs: $43/lesson; $250/6 lessons; $400/10 lessons; $750/20 lessons. Summer Camp is $175/full day and $90/half day.

Kings County Tennis League | Various Locations

Program Details: KCTL provides free tennis programs to children in and around Brooklyn public housing. They offer year-round programming for ages 5–15. They also have specialty programs for more advanced players, an all-girls group, and semi-private lessons. Fall 2025: Registration is now open for free after-school lessons at three locations: Jackie Robinson Club (September 15–October 29) Marcy Club (September 15–October 29) and Lafayette Gardens Club (September 16–October 30). Those in NYCHA housing have priority.

Matchpoint NYC | Coney Island & Bensonhurst

Program Details: MatchPoint NYC’s Brooklyn locations have fitness centers and indoor tennis courts. They offer a Pre-QuickStart program for ages 3 and up, Junior Development for older kids, private lessons, tournament training, and full-day summer camps. Fall 2025: Tennis programs are indoors and offered year-round; inquire here to learn more for Coney Island location, and here for Bensonhurst location.

McCarren Tennis Center | Williamsburg

Program Details: The McCarren Tennis Center offers junior classes for ages 3–17, from recreational and high-performance levels. Classes include Tiny Tots/Pee Wee, recreational and competitive pathway classes for Juniors, and a Junior High Performance and Elite (invite only) program. Facilities include 7 indoor hard courts, and summer programming takes place outdoors. Fall 2025: The fall season kicks off in October and runs through January.

New York Junior Tennis & Learning | Various Locations

Program Details: New York Junior Tennis & Learning (NYJTL) offersa Community Tennis Program for ages 5–18 with free instruction in schools and public parks across New York City, year-round. Open to all skill levels, with optional attendance. Sessions typically last 1–1.5 hours, and most sites run for 3 hours or more per session. Guardians are expected to stay during lessons. Fall 2025: Registration is ongoing throughout the year! The fall program will run in September through October.

Levels: Beginner to advanced

Ages: 5-18

Costs: Free; all equipment provided free of charge to use onsite.

Locations: Various indoor and outdoor locations including Brooklyn Heights, Bed-Stuy, Bensonhurst, Coney Island, Flatbush, Midwood, and Mill Basin; locations change seasonally.

Pop Up Tennis Kids | Park Slope

Program Details: Located in Park Slope, Pop Up Tennis Kids offers indoor classes for ages 5–11. Students are grouped by age and skill level, with small classes of five or fewer. Lessons focus on ball control, racket skills, footwork, and technique. Older students use skills in drills and games, with larger courts available for advanced players. Fall 2025: The fall season will run from September through December. Note: Fall sessions are all full, but you can be added to the wait list by emailing po*************@***il.com.

Prospect Park Tennis Center | Prospect Park

Program Details: The Prospect Park Tennis Center offer junior programs for ages 5–17. Classes include Pee Wee (ages 5–6) and Junior Program (ages 6–17), with students grouped by age and skill. Lessons use small-group instruction (up to six per court section) and focus on technique, hand-eye coordination, and skill development. Fall 2025: The outdoor Junior Development program will run from September 8 – October 4. Register here!

Costs: $108-$228/season. 10% sibling discount for each additional child enrolled and a 10% discount on each additional class per week.

Super Duper Tennis | Battery Park

Program Details: Super Duper Tennis teaches tennis to children using age-appropriate equipment such as lower nets, less pressured balls, and shorter racquets. Classes follow teaching techniques supported by the USTA (United States Tennis Association). Sessions are offered for ages 3, 4–5, 5–6, 7–9, and 9–10. Super Stars Tennis | Brooklyn Heights, Williamsburg & Lower Manhattan

Program Details: Super Stars Tennis offers tennis classes for children of all ages. The student-to-teacher ratio is 5:1. Instructors teach tennis fundamentals and focus on skills such as teamwork, agility, and balanced exercise. Classes are held throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, with winter sessions indoors and spring, summer, and fall sessions outdoors at parks and playgrounds. Equipment is provided.
