Three new residential buildings are under construction in the tiny neighborhood of Vinegar Hill, one of them including 32 unites and on-site parking. Additionally, a forth residential development with 59 units is planned for the neighborhood.
The building under construction at 288 Water Street on the corner of Gold Street will be five stories high and have nine residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,589 square feet. No information has been published about the selling status and unit prices, the main photo of this article is the current construction site.
The residential building under construction at 218 Front Street has no signage posted outside but according to construction workers it will be a 5-story residential development with 32 units and on-site parking. According to the Real Deal Urban Realty Partners recently snapped up the development site in Vinegar Hill for almost $50 million. The developer through an LLC purchased 218 Front Street from Emily M. Wang for $48.5 million, according to PincusCo. The transaction in the Vinegar Hill neighborhood closed towards the end of October.
Construction at 250 Water is almost complete. The five story building on the corner of Bridge Street will feature 3 apartments, two of them will be occupied by the owner’s families.
And lastly, one more residential project is planned for Vinegar Hill at 251 Front aka 68 Gold Street. The site currently supports a large parking lot that would be redeveloped to support a five-story building with 59 rental units. Renderings below are from New York Yimby from 2020.
