2024 CSA sign-ups are open

We have prepared an overview of local farms offering 2024 CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) shares and an updated list of Brooklyn’s Greenmarkets to support local farmers and eat fresh produce.

Brooklyn Beet CSA | Downtown Brooklyn

Program Details: Brooklyn Beet CSA is 100% volunteer-run and dedicated to connecting Brooklyn residents to local small farms, including Angel Family Farm in Goshen, NY and Wilklow Orchards in Highland, NY. All members volunteer, and can sign up for full or half vegetable shares.

Pickup Time: June 18 – October 15 | Tuesdays, 6–8pm

Pickup Location: Downtown Brooklyn | YWCA Brooklyn | 30 Third Avenue

Cost: Full vegetable shares are $530 for 18 weeks; half vegetable shares are $273 for 9 weeks.

Brooklyn Bridge CSA | Brooklyn Heights

Program Details: Brooklyn Bridge CSA is committed to exploring new ways to give anyone in our local Brooklyn community access to good, healthy, nutritious food, regardless of income. Vegetables come from Sang Lee Farms in Peconic on the North Fork of Long Island. For 2024, each veggie share is expected to be 8-10 items that week and this year the season is 24 weeks.  You can sign up for a full share (pick up every week) or a half share (pick up every other week).  Fruit and granola shares are also available as add-ons. Registration officially closes May 1st or when we sell out of them! Early bird sign-ups before March 15 will receive a free insulated bag.

Brooklyn Grange CSA | Brooklyn Navy Yard

Program Details: Founded in 2010, Brooklyn Grange is the leading rooftop farming and intensive green roofing business in the US, fostering more livable and climate adapted cities. We restore the connection between people and the natural world through food, education, and events. Sign up now to secure your spot for Brooklyn Grange’s 2024 CSA Program. Each week, farmers harvest a share of the most seasonally ripe vegetables for members to pick up from the farm. Several add-ons can be added to shares, including premium access to eggs, bread, coffee, and maple syrup. The CSA’s sliding model allows participants to choose their price point based on income and access to wealth, allowing access to those from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Brooklyn Supported Agriculture | Bed Stuy

Program Details: Brooklyn Supported Agriculture (BSA) is a project of Brooklyn Packers, a Black-led, worker-owned small business where all worker-owners receive the same salary based on profit-sharing, and company decision-making is democratic. Produce is sourced from a wide array of farms and food businesses. BSA offers Veggie Bags, seasonal Fruit and Fresh Herb Bundles, microgreens, mushrooms, cheeses, eggs, breads, coffee, avocados, granola, and combo Market Bags. Delivery and pick-up available throughout Brooklyn. You can buy as you go, or subscribe weekly.

Pickup Locations & Times: Pick-up from their home base in Bed Stuy (224 Marcus Garvey Blvd) on Thursdays from 4–6pm is free! BSA also partners with small businesses in various neighborhoods for pick-up; see all locations and pick-up times here.

DUMBO + Vinegar Hill CSA | DUMBO

Program Details: The DUMBO + Vinegar Hill CSA allows members to buy 24 weeks of vegetables, fruit, cheese, and ready-to-eat products. Our vegetables come from Sang Lee Farms of Peconic (North Fork), NY. The CSA is run by volunteers; each CSA member is required to staff two pickup shifts per season. Clinton Hill CSA | Clinton Hill

Program Details: Since 2002, Clinton Hill Community Supported Agriculture (CHCSA) has brought fresh, locally grown, organic produce to its members through a partnership with Windflower Farm in Valley Falls, NY. We offer a tiered membership plan that allows members with higher incomes to subsidize shares for lower-income households. All members can choose between a Full Share (pickup every week for 22 weeks) or a Half Share (pickup every other week) that range from $9 – $33/week. The waitlist is now open for our 2024 season! New members can sign up here to join. We’ll start contacting waitlist members in the spring, typically in April. All members are required to help out by giving 4 hours of their time per household per season, or 2 hours for members who purchase half vegetable shares.

Garden of Eve CSA | Various Locations

Program Details: Garden of Eve farm on Long Island’s North Fork is dedicated to providing delicious organic vegetables, fruits and beautiful flowers. The CSA program allows you to purchase advanced shares of fresh fruits and vegetables from each season’s harvest. There are pick-up sites in Brooklyn Heights (called the Sweat Pea CSA), Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, Williamsburg, and more. The Summer/Fall season will run from June through November, and members can choose weekly or biweekly pick-ups. Depending on your pick-up site, you may be asked to volunteer for the CSA (typically one shift per season). Learn more about being a CSA member here.

Greenpoint-Williamsburg CSA (GWCSA) | Williamsburg & Greenpoint

Program Details: The Greenpoint-Williamsburg CSA (GWCSA) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community supported agriculture organization based in the Greenpoint  and Williamsburg neighborhoods of Brooklyn, NY. As one of North Brooklyn’s longest-running  CSAs, we’ve been fostering community and providing organic, local  produce to our neighborhood since 2005. Our season runs from June through November. GWCSA partners with a variety of farms to bring weekly and biweekly shares of vegetables, fruit, eggs, and more. Sign up here.

Park Slope CSA | Park Slope

Program Details: The Park Slope CSA offers produce from Windflower Farm in Valley Falls, NY. Each week Farmer Ted harvests our produce and loads up his truck for deliveries to our distribution site at the Garden of Union. The only way to get fresher produce is to go to a farm and pick it yourself! We offer two options for membership. You can sign up for a Full Share or an Every Other Week Share throughout the 22 week season. Full-share members must work two shifts over the course of the season; Every Other Week members work one shift. Sign up here; the deadline for signing up is May 11, 2024.

Prospect Heights CSA | Prospect Heights

Program Details: Prospect Heights CSA connects a group of Brooklynites hungry for sustainably grown foods with Windflower Farm, a small organic (NOFA/CNG) farm located in upstate New York. For 22 weeks of the year we receive fresh vegetables, fruit, flowers, free-range eggs, and more, delivered straight from the farm to the heart of our neighborhood. Members can sign up for full shares or half shares and are required to complete a work shift and bring their own bags to pick-ups. There will be a trip to Windflower Farm in late July, including a guided tour, family-friendly activities, camping, and a potluck!

Prospect Park CSA | Crown Heights

Program Details: Founded in 2011, the Prospect Park CSA partners with Windflower Farm (Valley Falls, NY) to deliver and distribute fresh produce to CSA members. The CSA is 100% volunteer-run. Every member pitches in by committing to one or two short work shifts per season. A core group of volunteer organizers manage registration, communication, logistics, and events. Membership fees include a weekly full-share or bi-weekly half-share of farm-fresh vegetable harvest. Members also have the option to sign up for fruit, egg, maple, and grain shares. Siena Farms | Prospect Heights & Brooklyn Heights

Program Details: Siena Farms in Sudbury, Massachusetts brings their CSA Farm Shares to New York City year-round. When you purchase a CSA membership, you support our 75-acre farm through the inherent risks, and delicious rewards, of farming in New England. In return, you share in our harvest with a weekly box of the best vegetables our fields have to offer through the season. The spring season will run from March 11 – May 27. The summer season will run from June 3 – August 19. The autumn share runs from August 26 – November 11. Members have an option for home delivery or pickup.

The 607 CSA | Various Locations

Program Details: The 607 CSA is a multi-farm, whole-diet CSA based in the Northern Catskills of NY State and delivering to various locations in NYC. We offer veggie shares plus season-long shares and weekly ordering of pastured meat, eggs, dairy, and other items from our 40+ collaborating farms and food businesses. While more flexible than a typical CSA, 607 is not an online grocer. To join and see all types of shares, click here.
