5 Boro Bike Tour coming to Brooklyn’s waterfront 5/5

The 5 Boro Bike Tour will take place on Sunday, May 5 from 7.30 am to 6 pm. 32,000 cyclists will ride through all five boroughs, the world’s largest charitable biking event! Brooklyn’s streets along the water will be closed on Sunday with specific parking regulations in effect Saturday. Major closures are scheduled to include the FDR Drive, BQE/Gowanus, as well as the Ed Koch -Queensboro and Verrazzano-Narrows Bridges. Motorists are strongly advised to take mass transit or to seek alternative routes farther from the tour route. Registration for the 40-mile journey has been closed.

● Greenpoint Ave between McGuinness Blvd and Franklin St
● Franklin St/Kent Ave between Greenpoint Ave and Williamsburg St W
● Flushing Ave between Williamsburg St West and Navy St
● Navy Street between Flushing Ave and York St
● York Street between Navy St and Gold St
● Gold Street between York St and Front St
● Front Street between Gold St and Old Fulton St
● Old Fulton Street between Front St and Furman St
● Furman Street between Old Fulton St and Atlantic Ave
● Atlantic Avenue between Brooklyn Bridge Park and Columbia St
● Columbia Street between Atlantic Ave and the BQE
● BQE & Gowanus Expressway between Columbia St & Verrazano Bridge
