This Swedish candy store has opened a new location in the Columbia Street Waterfront District. This location doubles as the company’s new warehouse, and the candy shop inside the main entrance will be open Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 11-5pm. On Sundays, Swedish hot dogs will also be for sale!
Flying Apple Indoor Playground | Bed Stuy | NOW OPEN
Flying Apple is a new indoor play space for ages 1–10 years old in Bed Stuy. New York City-themed with a futuristic design, Flying Apple’s play areas include a ball blaster, climbing wall, slides, an obstacle course, and a huge ball pit. Flying Apple also hosts parties, events, and classes. Open play is $22 on weekdays and $30 on weekends. Kids ages 3 and under pay $16, and all prices include admission for one adult per child. There are even massage chairs and free snacks for caregivers!

Stretch Lab | Cobble Hill | NOW OPEN
Stretch Lab’s newest studio in Cobble Hill offers one-on-one assisted stretching with a Flexologist on custom designed benches. Stretches can be 25 or 50 minutes and are customized to fit your individual needs, focusing on problem areas or targeting certain muscle groups. The studio also offers Group Stretches, where Flexologists will guide you through a series of stretches and teach proper stretch tool use.
Downtown Brooklyn Childcare | Downtown Brooklyn | NOW OPEN
Downtown Brooklyn Childcare is a new daycare center for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ages 3 months to 5 years. All their staff is trained in Montessori and hold CPR/AED certifications, and there is a registered nurse on-site. Life Time Atlantic Avenue | Downtown Brooklyn | Opening April 19, 2024
Life Time’s second club in Brooklyn, 18 Sixth Avenue near Barclay’s Center, is three stories and 37,000 square feet. Members will have access to five studios for unique group fitness formats, boutique-style training areas, cedar wood saunas, recovery services, a coffee bar, juice bar, and sitting areas. The club has spaces for Alpha, GTX, and UltraFit programs, as well as group, mind body and cycle classes led by the city’s top performers, a training floor featuring Life Time’s Dynamic Personal Training team, and cardio and strength-based equipment. TATTER Flagship for Textile Arts | Fort Greene | Opening September 2024
The Tatter Blue Archives Institute (TATTER) is opening a new flagship at 230 Ashland Place that will serve as a textile arts space with a café, library, and gallery. TATTER signed a 20-year lease with BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), and will be the newest edition to Brooklyn’s Cultural District, already home to MOCADA, The Center for Fiction, and Mark Morris Dance Group. The new space will host special events, artist openings, workshops, and more. TATTER’s mission is to explore the diverse medium of cloth to tell human stories and cultivate understanding. The Meadow Community Arts Studio | DUMBO | NOW OPEN | Coming Fall 2024: Open Arts Studio for Teens & Tweens
This community-based expressive arts studio opened in October 2023 and is located at 147 Front Street (between Jay St and Pearl St) in DUMBO. The Meadow offers creative arts workshops for all ages and hosts special events and gatherings for friend and family groups and professional organizations. Upcoming events include an Expressive Weaving Circle, Flower Arranging Workshop with Tea, Scones, and Champagne, a Sound Bath with Cacao and Watercolors, and Spring Printmaking and Collage Club with Women of Culture.
