Free workshops on caring for aging parents with Heights and Hills in Brooklyn

Heights and Hills has been supporting older Brooklyn adults and their caregivers since 1971. Each year, the organization serves 5,000 older adults and their families. The older adults they serve range in age from 60 to more than 100, are immigrant and native born, and are as diverse as the communities in which they live. The Heights and Hills Caregiver Program provides support to caregivers of older adults, including individual counseling, support groups, and educational seminars.

Heights and Hills is hosting two free upcoming webinars for family caregivers supporting loved ones 60 or older. All online workshops are free and will take place on Zoom.

If your loved one needs homecare, what are the options? Finding (and paying for) home health aide support can feel daunt ing, and there may be options out there that you haven’t explored. Caregiver Social Workers Sue Roberts, LMSW and Anastasia Domenech, MSW will present on the homecare options available in New York State, including how to access Medicaid (even if you think your loved one won’t qualify).
